Steak Frites with Creamy Pepper Sauce 🥩🍟✨

Here’s how to make it at home:

Ingredients:

For the Steak:

 • 1 ribeye steak (or cut of choice)

 • Salt & black pepper

 • 2 cloves garlic

 • 1 sprig rosemary

 • 1 tbsp butter

 • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Pepper Sauce:

 • 1/2 cup heavy cream

 • 1 tbsp crushed black peppercorns

 • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

 • Salt to taste

For the Fries:

 • Frozen French fries or 2 large potatoes

 • Salt

 • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fries:

 • Oven Method: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.

 • Fry Method: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry until golden. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

2. Cook the Steak:

 • Let the steak come to room temp. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

 • Heat a skillet over high heat. Add olive oil.

 • Sear steak 2–3 mins per side for medium rare. During the last minute, add butter, rosemary, and garlic. Baste the steak with melted butter.

 • Rest the steak for 5 mins before slicing.

3. Make the Creamy Pepper Sauce:

 • In the same pan, lower heat. Add crushed peppercorns.

 • Pour in cream, stirring well. Add mustard if using.

 • Simmer until slightly thickened (2–3 mins). Add salt to taste.

4. Plate & Serve:

 • Slice steak, drizzle with pepper sauce.

 • Serve with fries and garnish with rosemary and roasted garlic.
