Garlic Butter Surf & Turf on Mash with Sautéed Spinach 🧈🥩🦐

Ingredients:

 • 1 filet mignon or tenderloin steak

 • 4-5 large shrimp (peeled & deveined)

 • 2 cups mashed potatoes

 • 2 cups baby spinach

 • 2 tbsp garlic butter

 • 1 tbsp olive oil

 • Salt, black pepper, smoked paprika

 • Fresh parsley (chopped)

 • Optional: beef broth + butter for sauce

Instructions:

 1. Mashed Potatoes:

 • Boil and mash potatoes with butter, a splash of cream, salt, and pepper.

 2. Sautéed Spinach:

 • In a skillet, sauté spinach in olive oil with a pinch of garlic until wilted. Season lightly.

 3. Cook the Steak:

 • Season steak with salt, pepper, and a touch of paprika.

 • Sear in a hot pan with garlic butter, 3–4 minutes per side for medium rare.

 • Let it rest before slicing.

 4. Sear the Shrimp:

 • In the same pan, cook shrimp 2–3 mins until pink and lightly crisp.

 • Baste with remaining garlic butter and sprinkle chopped parsley.

 5. Sauce (optional):

 • Deglaze pan with beef broth, reduce slightly, and stir in a knob of butter.

 6. Assemble:

 • Plate mashed potatoes first, add spinach, top with steak and shrimp.

 • Drizzle with pan sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
