Ingredients:
For the Steak:
β’ 3β4 cuts of ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak
β’ Salt & black pepper
β’ 2 tbsp olive oil
β’ 2 tbsp butter
β’ 2 garlic cloves (optional)
For the Pepper Sauce:
β’ 1 cup heavy cream
β’ 2 tbsp crushed black peppercorns
β’ 1 tsp Dijon mustard
β’ 1 tbsp butter
β’ Salt to taste
For the Fries:
β’ 4 large potatoes or 1 bag frozen fries
β’ Oil for frying or baking

Instructions:
1. Cook the Fries:
β’ If using fresh potatoes, cut into thin strips and soak in water 30 mins. Dry well.
β’ Deep-fry at 350Β°F (175Β°C) until golden or bake at 425Β°F (220Β°C) until crisp.
β’ Season with salt.
2. Cook the Steaks:
β’ Season steaks with salt and pepper.
β’ Sear in a hot skillet with olive oil (2β3 mins per side for medium-rare).
β’ Add butter (and garlic, if using) in the last minute and baste.
β’ Rest steaks 5 mins before slicing.
3. Make the Creamy Pepper Sauce:
β’ In the same pan, melt butter and toast peppercorns.
β’ Add cream and Dijon mustard.
β’ Simmer for 3β5 mins until thickened. Salt to taste.
4. Plate It Up:
β’ Slice steaks and arrange around fries on a large platter.
β’ Place sauce in a bowl in the center for dipping or drizzling.
