Ingredients:

For the Steak:

 β€’ 3–4 cuts of ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak

 β€’ Salt & black pepper

 β€’ 2 tbsp olive oil

 β€’ 2 tbsp butter

 β€’ 2 garlic cloves (optional)

For the Pepper Sauce:

 β€’ 1 cup heavy cream

 β€’ 2 tbsp crushed black peppercorns

 β€’ 1 tsp Dijon mustard

 β€’ 1 tbsp butter

 β€’ Salt to taste

For the Fries:

 β€’ 4 large potatoes or 1 bag frozen fries

 β€’ Oil for frying or baking

 β€’ Salt

Instructions:

1. Cook the Fries:

 β€’ If using fresh potatoes, cut into thin strips and soak in water 30 mins. Dry well.

 β€’ Deep-fry at 350Β°F (175Β°C) until golden or bake at 425Β°F (220Β°C) until crisp.

 β€’ Season with salt.

2. Cook the Steaks:

 β€’ Season steaks with salt and pepper.

 β€’ Sear in a hot skillet with olive oil (2–3 mins per side for medium-rare).

 β€’ Add butter (and garlic, if using) in the last minute and baste.

 β€’ Rest steaks 5 mins before slicing.

3. Make the Creamy Pepper Sauce:

 β€’ In the same pan, melt butter and toast peppercorns.

 β€’ Add cream and Dijon mustard.

 β€’ Simmer for 3–5 mins until thickened. Salt to taste.

4. Plate It Up:

 β€’ Slice steaks and arrange around fries on a large platter.

 β€’ Place sauce in a bowl in the center for dipping or drizzling.
